Navigating Complex Systems

Welcome to Navigating Complex Systems! Please read below for directions on how to move through the course.

The course contents include:
–A Pre-Survey
–7 Lessons with a varying number of topics in each lesson
–A Post-Training Survey with Resource Sheet
-A Post-Course email detailing instructions on how to receive training hours, if necessary.

You will be able to view these contents in the Course Contents section at the bottom of this page.

• You can scroll down to view each page’s contents.
• You can track your course progress using the progress bar that appears at the top of each page.
• You can navigate back to this course page, or to associated lessons and topics using the links that appear over the progress bar as you continue through the course.
• You can also use the navigation buttons at the bottom of each page to move through course contents.
• Some lessons require watching a video in its entirety before you are able to continue in the course.
• Please ensure you are clicking “Mark as Complete” when finished with each lesson and/or topic. This will ensure you are registering your progress as you move through the course.

This training is designed for people who work directly to help individuals get to the services and resources that they need. In this training, we are going to call this work “resource navigation.”  

Resource navigation comes in many different forms, and what you do day-to-day to assist people depends on your specific role.  

But regardless of your role, there are a set of principles that can guide how you approach your job.
